Demigods: half mortal, half immortal
The people who were born out of the relationships between mortal and immortal were called demigods. Heracles, the son of Zeus and the mortal Alkmena, was famous for his extraordinary strength, which was part of his divine heritage. Theseus and Belerofont - sons of Poseidon and mortal women - and Perseus, the son of Zeus, also demonstrated its unearthly origin in his many heroic deeds. Of course the gods were interested in the deeds of their children, although in the case of Poseidon, who was the father Theseus and his opponent the Minotaur, a certain conflict appeared .

Greek heroes
Some of the most exciting Greek myths are telling the stories of demigods and heroes. Three of the most famous Greek heroes were: Hercules, who had to make twelve dangerous tasks, Jason, who led the Argonauts in search of the Golden Fleece, and Theseus, who sailed to Crete and killed the Minotaur.
